Stumbled upon this restaurant. We ordered the Tampiqueña plate and Enchiladas Zacatecanas. Everything was phenomenal. 5 stars!
Great restaurant, the food was great and the atmosphere is worth making a return visit. FYI the building is also the restaurant’s tortilla factory, so they make their own tortillas, chips, etc for the restaurant. Our server told us about the factory and the fact that a lot of people don’t know there is a restaurant, they notice the factory first.
This is a great hidden gem! I great lunch spot, too! Authentic Mexican cuisine with vegetarian options and I was able to make substitutions. The decor was amazing! With a pleasant atmosphere, this place will be a go to spot for me.
With only thirty minutes to enjoy a meal that wasn’t delivered through a window in a paper bag, we decided on Sabor a la Mexicana. They are located behind Red Lobster and Olive Garden. We made it just in time because they are closed from 2pm - 4pm. We were greeted upon entry and seated immediately by a friendly hostess. The time between placing our order and receiving our meal was less than ten minutes which gave us more than enough time to enjoy our meal. Our server was very friendly and attentive, the vibe was dynamic, the food was delicious at just the right temperature and the vibrant colors were amazing! There were a group of ladies enjoying a birthday lunch who contributed to the energetic vibe. Never noticing before but this is a good place for a gathering. Sabor offered delicious food that is reasonably priced, great service, a lovely atmosphere, ample parking and they have a bar (for those who would appreciate that). I visited this restaurant to have some lunch. I had a mango chamoy margarita and a small schrimp cocktail. Presentation was 10/10, the restaurant was clean. The staff was attentive, the atmosphere was very welcoming. My waitress was extremely sweet and very attentive as well. I’ll definitely be coming back to order different items from their menu. Also, the whole building is unique, it feels like you are in Mexico for a moment.
Have you ever discovered something and found out or later determined that it's a hidden gem? This is what this restaurant is it's right off of Cockrell Hill behind Red Lobster and Olive Garden to look at the parking lot because it's so large you wouldn't think that it was open but when you walk up to the door before you even get to the door they have Mexican sombreros steel statues to old cars and the atmosphere is so Old Mexico this is a beautiful place the nicest people it's a small restaurant I'm sure they have other areas to serve large parties but this was my first time eating here and I can say that I give this place 5 stars. Check out my pictures and I have one picture of part of the menu El and they do have carry out if you like and they have a full bar The margaritas are to die for. We had the Sabor platter two enchiladas chicken or beef one taco or burrito refried beans and rice of course I have the margarita and my daughter had a Sprite our total was 35 and we have leftovers so this was a pretty good deal
This place is excellent not just because of their food but also because of the decor, the excellent customer service and the cleanliness of the place! I recommend them to anyone looking to taste great Mexican food and one of a kind customer service! This is my pick hands down each and every single time.
